LOGITECH Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10vi Noise-Isolating Earphones
Rating: 5 out of 5
Released 1/22/09, and for a hefty purchase price of $369, on Amazon, this headset is well worth the price for someone who wears them hours a day. C Net gave them 4½ stars; I give them 5. Purchased from Amazon June, 2009, they compete with one of the Boze products whose mid-range pricing is comparable at $300, minus the microphone. Logitech's build quality is precise and neatly fit ear cavities with plenty of padding for comfort. They'd fail the aesthetics test, but this set is normally purchased for their portability, and this is what makes them convenient for my use and come with the added bonus of an inline mic for a cell phone, but I've found an adapter for my computer phone connection. I run my business from my home and speak to people all over the world. I need a decent set of earphones, lightweight, with excellent sound quality. I often record conversations and need to hear every nuance (despite source background noise) and find I can filter out the interference easily. In addition, this set allows me to monitor music downloads and correct for distortion and balance with my software. I use the music on Power Point Presentations and it's important that the music is clear of intervening side effects. I've had them for about a year and use them just about every day. Very pleased with the reliability factor. They're built so well that they survived a small accident without damage. Their performance never fails to satisfy my needs, and I guard them jealously from relatives who want to "try them out". The positive points I've mentioned previously, the negative points are down to one: When I fail to watch where the cords are located, I have accidentally easily jerked them out of my ears. Doesn't happen often, less frequently now that I'm aware of the consequences.
