RAD Cycle Products Mag Bike Trainer

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

For competitive bicyclists who seek to train continuously without regard to seasons or weather conditions, this bike trainer is a worthy solution.

Because it is a tool that allows users to quickly convert their standard bicycles into a stationary trainer, it is perfect for cyclists on a budget because there is no need to buy a complete unit to use indoors.

An innovative magnetic system is used to provide resistance and a workout that is customizable to all ability levels. The resistance level can be increased either as the user pedals faster, or chooses to ride in a different gear. As someone who likes to get absorbed in the adrenaline rush that a workout provides, I love that this bike trainer has turned the process of making a workout more challenging into such an intuitive act. I can concentrate on pushing myself hard without having to fiddle with machine controls.

As soon as I removed the product from the packaging to prepare for its initial use, the durability was obvious. The device feels sturdy, and its resilience has been proven since it has lasted through hours of hard use.

It also folds easily. Since I live in a small apartment, it was important for me to find a bike trainer that did not consume excessive space, and this model has been more than satisfactory.

As far as faults, the unit is very loud. It can be very distracting for users who rely on music or television to motivate them through a workout. The process of securing the unit to your existing bike wheel is also quite involved. It is not a self explanatory thing, and the provided instructions offered little useful assistance.

For users who want a compact bike trainer with easily manipulated resistance levels, this is a fine choice.
