The Disney Brother sewing machine model ULT-2002D is one of the most sought after computerized embroidery sewing machines sold in the last decade. Retailing for approximately $2,999 dollars this machine comes with 1200 built in stitches, which does not include the 77 built in Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Winnie the Pooh and his friends.
The Brother Company reports this machine is the fastest one in the market today, completing about 800 stitches per minute while using the embroidery features. Included with this machine are three hoops of different sizes that will attach to the machine, enabling the user to experience a wide variety of options when choosing embroidery patterns. The large color touch screen will show the stitches and designs that are being embroidered. The 8" by 3" inch color screen will even provide the home sewer and embroiderer with a 3 D view of their project.
The color touch screen will also let you know how much time the design will take and keeps a running count of time left as it completes the stitching. This machine also will enable the home sewer to complete regular sewing projects. When the embroidery features are not being used, the touch screen will display all the necessary components needed such as; whether the needle is up or in the down position, an important item to know. The screen will also monitor the bobbin thread and let the sewer know before it runs out. This machine also features automatic thread cutting and automatic stitch reinforcement which will keep the ends of the stitching secure, eliminating the need for the sewer to manually go back over the beginning and ending stitch areas.
The sewing/embroidery machine also has a place where additional embroidery cards that be inserted, allowing the sewer to purchase other embroidery characters or designs other that the 77 that come loaded on the machine. Automatic needle threading features will thread the needle without compromising the sewers eyesight to do it manually. The machine also contains a tutorial feature that will help each sewer learn the many things this machine can do. An operational guide is also included which provides color step by step instructions on many aspects of standard sewing and embroidery functions. This particular model offers a warranty of 25 years on the mechanical and 5 years electrical in the US.
All in all this machine performs all the standard functions that any sewer will want and many additional embroidery and stitch functions that before one only dreamed about.
