LG has been noted for being a popular company with regards to various television technology features in recent years. Today the company is continuing to work with power thanks to its 55LE5400 set. This fifty-five inch set was especially great in that it was very easy to control.

LG highly promoted its NetCast Entertainment Access feature for this set. This is a feature where Internet services could be reached through the television set. An Internet connection and a subscription to the NetCast movie library were required but getting those was easy to do. After getting them the NetCast feature was incredibly easy to navigate through just by using the remote. This feature proved to be great in that it could easily get from one section to another.

The movies on the feature played back very well. The movie selection was great in that there were hundreds of different types of movies to get. The fact that each one played back in 1080p helped as well.

The set was also easy to control in that a number of different resolution levels beyond the 1080p level were supported. This was convenient in that it allowed all sorts of programs from different sources to be easily visible without any real problems.

The control for the Picture Wizard II proved to be great as well. This worked in that the remote could access controls for brightness, tint and other picture considerations.

There were many other great parts on the set beyond its controls. For example, its 24p source frame technology worked to get movies to be played back in a smooth process. The four HDMI ports on the set were able to work with some v1.3 HDMI connections with ease.

The Dolby Digital 5.1 decoder also proved to be useful. This decoder was able to handle sounds and play them back with ease. The digital audio optical output on the back of the set also made it easier to get the set to be hooked up to a proper audio playback device.

Interestingly enough the set was only $2500 when it was bought. This is practically the same as that of other LED sets of this size and of these same features. The fact that this set works as well as it does make this quite a pleasant surprise in that a person does not have to pay too much to get all of this quality.
