I have owned and use the KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor for over a year. I have found it to be a top rate, outstanding unit. It has preformed better then I hoped it would. I find myself using this KitchenAid food processor more then I ever imagined.
The high-performance induction motor is very powerful and has not failed me yet. It comes with a seven cup work bowl, which I have found to be large enough for my needs. There has yet to be a time when it was not enough space.
The included stainless-Steel multipurpose blade has remained sharp and still works fine. I do not see a need to replace it any time soon. The work bowl fits firm on to the unit and does not move nor become loose with usage. The was a problem I experienced with a lesser priced unit a few years ago.
The control pad is placed in the front of the unit making it both easy to read and reach. It is also covered, so accidental spills will not harm the food processor.
The unit is on the heavy side, due to the powerful motor, and I expect some people may have an issue with this. But any food processor that was greatly lighter then this motor would surely offer less power. It isn't too heavy, we are able to store it on top of our refrigerator and out of the way.
As with any food processor, cleaning can be an extra chore. I hand wash every part after each use, and although it takes longer then placing it into a dishwasher, the parts and unit still look and function as they did when they were first removed from the box over twelve months ago.
The KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor comes with a one year "hassle free replacement warranty." I was fortunate enough not have test this promise.
