Tom Tom XL Live IQ 12 Months
Rating: 5 out of 5
If your time is money, then the XL Live IQ 12 Months is the best thing to have when on the move. All GPS' do the job of taking you to your destination and I have previously owned a standard GP but this one really makes a real difference. First of all, its real time feature notifies you of any traffic during rush hour, accidents and other causes of delays along your route and will give you alternative routes to follow. This is really what the IQ stands for because it smartly recalculates your routes for the best option.
It is a beautiful peace with a fairly wide screen and won't need a joy stick to make selections. It needs to be updated regularly and should be done regularly. Updating only takes a few seconds and it is vital because any new changes to roads, signs, rules, speed cameras and anything else will all be updated. It is fairly simple, just connect to your PC and it will give you updates available in the regions you have on your GPS and then select the ones you need.
The XL Live IQ 12 months is available for regional and another that includes all of Europe. I have the one for Europe and driving while on holiday in Europe has not been easier. Its LIVE feature shows really everything on the map. At home it may be easier to know your nearest Mc Donald but when in a different country this feature is really the best. On the highway, you are surely going to appreciate the Advanced Lane Guidance feature, it not only tells you but it shows you when you need to change lane in other to exit or branch off.
The down side to the XL Live IQ is that it's a bit expensive amongst its competition but not compared to its capabilities and functionalities. The 12 months really means when you purchase it, you have 12 months free for updates and after the first year there is a yearly fee of about $80. Yes it does seem expensive but it really depends on how important getting your routes right is of importance to you.
With the XL Live IQ all you need to do is drive, it does all the rest. I totally recommend it.
