The Chicco Cortina Travel System

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

When my first child was born eighteen years ago, I somehow managed to muddle through with only one stroller until her little sister arrived and we needed a double. Apparently, that was the modern equivalent of beating your clothes on a rock to clean them, and now everyone needs multiple strollers just to get through the first few years with a baby.

In an attempt to minimize our stroller needs with our last child, I bought the Chicco Cortina Travel System. I know that some people believe that it's heavier than some other travel systems, and I see that could be a problem if either parent is petite, but I love this stroller. You can choose to use the regular infant car seat that holds your child up to 22 pounds, or you can use one that is safe for babies up to 30 pounds and 30 inches. When that happens, your child can sit in this stroller until he or she is 50 pounds.

This stroller is more expensive than other strollers, but I hope for it to be the only stroller that we ever need. It's easy to push, easy to set up, and easy to collapse. I give it 5 stars, and I've also noticed that this type of stroller has a decent resale value, which is always a plus when it comes to baby stuff.
I feel like it's a very safe stroller, and it still fits in the trunk of a mid-size sedan without a problem.
It's got the 5-point harness and it would be particularly appropriate for people that are tall, because it's got the adjustable handle. My husband is 6'4, I'm 5'2, and it works well for both of us.

I give it 5 stars and a very strong recommendation. I love it!
