I love it when a meal comes together for friends - or even when I am cooking for just me. What I don't love is all the cutting, dicing, slicing, dough making prep work that seems to go on forever. Enter the Cuisinart Elite 12 Cup Food Processor to the rescue. This is an outstanding food processor that has all the bells and whistles you could ever want in a food processor.

One of the nicest features of this food processor is that it is actually 2 food processors in one. There is the large 12 cup bowl that is perfect when you need large capacity for feeding all those friends and family and a small 4 cup bowl when you are preparing for a smaller crowd or you need a small amount. Each bowl has pouring spouts and measurement markings so you can control your amounts accurately.

The Cuisinart Elite 12 Cup Food Processor also has a 6-position adjustable slicing disc and a reversible shredding disc. These features allow you to determine size and shape of what you are cutting. It's like having multiple food processors in one. There is also a dough blade so you can easily create anything from pie crusts to bread dough. With the wide mouth feed tube you can easily put ingredients into the bowl while the system is operating. Cuisinart has a patent pending Seal Tight Advantage System that locks the blades and the bowls and enables you pour without the additional fear of the blades coming into the bowl and creating a mess or even cutting you when you try and retrieve them.

The food processor has a touch pad with a blue LED readout for ON/OFF/PULSE. It's easy to read and quite user friendly. My only real issue with this is that the food processor comes solely in white. If it were in stainless or even black, it would match my other kitchen appliances better.

With its weighted base, keeping the food processor steady no matter what you are cutting, the dual bowl capacity, and the multi position cutting discs, I find that this is an outstanding product, despite the lack of color choice and even purchased one for my niece. The Cuisinart Elite 12 Cup Food Processor redefined how I do my food preparation. It saves me time and effort, and for that I can't praise it enough.
