We picked up a few of the Coleman Bedrock 2-Person Tents because we have a few teenage campers who travel with us and they like their own space. After a couple of disgruntled campers insisted on their privacy, we decided to add to our fleet of tents and purchased the Coleman tents. We've liked this particular tent so well, my husband and I only take the Coleman Bedrock on overnight back-packing trips even though we have other camping tent options.
What makes the Coleman Bedrock tent stand out is the fact it is durable but lightweight. The polyester flysheet fabric and fiberglass poles guarantee I'm not hiking uphill complaining if this tent is on my back. The tent is easy to assemble too. Set-up takes less than five minutes.
For what we wanted, this is a perfect camping option. However, keep in mind, this is only a sleeping tent. There's barely enough room for two people to sleep comfortably. If someone wants a romantic getaway, the tent is a cozy camping choice, but I would be very selective in who shared this tent with me because of the close quarters. For our needs, it's perfect. For singles or couple camping, it's ideal.
The downside is the shape once it's assembled. This tent has very little head-room and someone over six feet tall probably wouldn't be that comfortable staying in this particular tent. The price is also a little steep for what you're buying. We paid about fifty dollars and comparable models could easily be purchased for around thirty or forty bucks. While the tent is sturdy, we haven't tested that out in bad weather so be aware of the possibility that the tent may not fair well in heavy rains.
