Tiffany Gemea Ladies Watch in 18K White Gold & .23 Carat Diamond Setting

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

There's nothing quite as distinctive (or expensive) as the Tiffany brand. For both men and women, Tiffany is the ultimate mark of class, distinction and fine art. True to Tiffany design, the Gemea Watch reminds me of the Tiffany Atlas design at a lower price and smaller setting. When I first saw the Gemea watch design, I knew this it was going to be a family heirloom one day.

Gemea is available in four different settings, convenient for almost any high budget watch purchase. The watch we purchased was the 18K White Gold with .23 carat diamonds for $8,800. At a lower price, customers can also purchase a stainless steel version with no diamonds, priced modestly around $2,700.

This watch is remarkable. The band is a conservative sleek black satin strap that contrasts well with the white gold of the watch face and modest diamonds. The watch face itself is classic and simple. The Swiss-made glass and casing of the watch is 18 mm thick, almost scratchproof. The internal casing of the watch is rated for water resistance up to 30 meters and comes with fully automated quartz movement (no winding).

The aesthetic nature of the Tiffany design is the highest selling point for this expensive watch. The superior engineering of the Tiffany watch is also another selling point. This watch may cost almost $9,000 but it's sure to last a lifetime. I also like this watch because for smaller women with thinner wrists, the setting actually looks better than the Tiffany Atlas design.

The only downside to Tiffany watches is the maintenance. Any maintenance, in order to maintain the Tiffany warranty and guarantee, must be performed at a Tiffany store. As an upside, you know you're going to get premium service when you have your watch serviced there.

If you're in the market for a name brand expensive watch, be sure to consider this one.
