General Electric Cafe Microwave
Rating: 5 out of 5
We recently remodeled our kitchen, and I wanted it to look perfect, as I'd been planning it for a very long time. I wanted all of my appliances to look stunning, and all have a stainless-steel scheme, very modern and stylish. The GE Café Microwave Oven was perfect for our new kitchen. We placed it directly above the oven, installed into the wall, which ended up saving us quite a bit of space, and lended a futuristic feel to our new home.
The GE Café is intended to be an over-the-range oven, and has a whopping 110 watts of power, and a bevy of different settings and options, including one that melts butters for you in just seconds exactly how you want it, which we all know can be tricky to get right using a microwave. It operates through an EasyGuide menu system, which is unique to GE, a touch screen system that helps you program the cooking time of the microwave oven to the food you are preparing, with 92 different styles of cooking and 5 categories. You can even "soften" heavier foods, or spreads so that they're perfect and ready to serve. This saves you time and ruining your food by over or under cooking. This microwave will even let you defrost up to one pound of any kind of meat or fish, in just a few minutes, saving you hours in the kitchen and allowing you to spend more time with guests - something that was very important to us, and definitely a huge bonus.
The GE café comes with a glass turntable, and two rotating wire racks, which are perfect for reheating leftovers. It also features a special heat venting system, which helps your kitchen be free of smoke, keeping your microwave from setting off the pesky smoke detector when it's unneeded. This also keeps your kitchen odor and fume free, perfect for when you're entertaining guests.
