Samsung 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) 650 Series 1080p LCD HDTV

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The Samsung 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) 650 Series 1080p LCD HDTV is a stylishly designed LCD HDTV that offers a theater-like experience for a fraction of the cost. The most impressive features about this TV are the clarity and quality of displayed images as well as the sound quality. The TV handles HDTV without a hiccup and allows you to view the World Wide Web using your TV screen. I looked at other brands and simply could not find anything that could compete with the quality of this machine.

Setting-up the device is fairly easy as well as connecting other devices to the machine. The user manual is easy to follow and Samsung support great. The TV comes with Samsung Apps which allows you stream movies or TV shows and to view updates on your Facebook or Twitter accounts. You can even add to the apps that come with your TV by going to Samsung's App Store. The menus for this device are exceptional and easy to follow. There are multiple ports: HDMI, PC, sound, etc. to fit your multimedia needs.

The display on the screen is the best I have seen in a long time. This is due to the 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, the 150,000:1 Contrast Ratio, the clarity of the glass which Samsung refers to as an ultra clear panel, and the quick response time for video 4 milliseconds. I also found the sound system, built in speaker, to be quite good.

The design of the TV is absolutely beautiful. The remote is easy to use. The TV is also energy star rated which means that you will save money and produce a smaller carbon footprint. Make sure to buy a sturdy table. The table included with the TV is not the most stable.

The TV comes with a warranty for 12 months labor and parts. At well over $2,000, you will get your money's worth and then some.

Pros
Great clarity and quality of images (no glare on screen and no dark images)
Great sound quality
Easy to setup
Easy installation

Cons
None
