The Weslo Pursuit G 2.8 is cheaper compared with other upright exercise bikes, the main reason why I bought this unit last year. It is easy to assemble and it doesn't take too much space.
The ergonomic handle bars seem to relax my back and it's quite comfortable however the Step Thru Design which is supposed to be easy for me to get on and off the bike, in my case it's not since I am only 5'3" it's hard for me to get on and off the bike. I already adjusted the seat to the lowest level but I guess this machine is designed for taller people. The seat is also hard and I find it uncomfortable if I work-out for more than 30 minutes.
The frame is designed like a traditional bike so I feel like I'm actually riding a bicycle and it has a manual adjustable resistance that allows me choose if I want it harder as if I'm biking on a uphill to burn more calories but it's difficult I only use the level 1 and 2. Within fifteen minutes I can already feel that I am burning calories while working out on my stationary bike.
The Silent Magnetic Resistance Feature is a smooth and frictionless resistance system that allows me to adjust my workout intensity without interrupting the workout. I just noticed when my housemate tries to adjust the resistance on a higher level I heard a friction, a cracking sound and I thought the machine will break. I'm just thankful it didn't.
The machine's weight capacity is 250 lbs. which works with everybody at home because no one is more than 200 lbs. It has an LCD Window that tracks my speed, time, distance, pulse and heart rate as well as the calories I burned while working out. The only thing is that my batteries also burn fast.
The RPM Timer works for tracking my revolution per minute and I can read it on the screen so it gives me signal if I need to go fast or slow down
Over-all this machine is okay for a beginner like me for the price $ 130 compared to other brands at least I can do cardio work-out and improve my health.
