Sharp 1.0 CuFt. 1100W Touch with 12 5/8" Turntable Microwave, White

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

My old microwave was a Sharp and I got it as a gift about six years ago. Instead of having it repaired, I decided that I would like to have a newer model. The only color choice was white, which is the color of my old microwave. This one is rather small, only my spouse and I operate this machine. It is the perfect size for two people or a small family to use. I really like the size of the large 12 5/8 turntable inside of the microwave. It can hold a medium-sized casserole dish or a regular dinner plate. I like that the food is evenly heated and there are no cold spots.

It has 23 automatic settings to choose from, and that is a convenience. It has an LED light display and a clock. Due to the small compact size, I have mine sitting in the corner on my countertop. I like the fact that it has a one year parts and labor warranty. This gives me peace of mind just in case the machine stops working.

One of the reasons I decided to purchase this particular model was because I found it at Wal-Mart on sale. The price was just over two hundred dollars plus tax. I thought that was a fair price for such a powerful 1100 watt microwave oven. The turntable never gets hung up it turns around smoothly as it should.

I use this microwave oven every day. I heat up leftovers during the day and prepare side dishes to heat in the oven for dinner. I considered purchasing a larger microwave but decided against it because we have a small kitchen and very little countertop space. For the short amount of time that I have been using this machine, I really like it.
