Ingersoll Rand 2130

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

There are a lot of people out there who like to work on their own cars, and because it can be so time consuming, many people turn to power tools. But when it comes to power, it is difficult to beat a pneumatic tool. Especially when it comes to under-carriage work, there can be limited space, and a lot of torque needed.

Ingersoll Rand's 2130 impact wrench is amazing in any situation. There is power when you need it, and it doesn't let up. The 2130 is really designed for professional use. There are many professional mechanics who swear by the 2130's and more are coming around every day. This is compared to well renowned tool companies like Mack or Snap-on.

The price is great, and the 2130 is easily available. Amazon.com has them for around $140, however, the MSRP is nearly $300. For this price, one might feel the wrench to be over powering. The wrench sits very comfortably in the hand, which is important for any protracted use. The 2130 also does not turn easily in the hand, even when it is working on a difficult bolt.

Ingersoll Rand puts together great products, and the 2130 is not exception. The build quality is excellent, and works well even after months of exacting use on automobiles. The 2130 holds up in automotive shops for oil changes, tire rotations, or undercarriage work and has no issues even after months or years of use.

Perhaps the only draw back is the need for high strength impact sockets. These sockets can be pricey, but are generally available at most parts stores, but getting the impact sockets is a must. The Ingersoll Rand 2130 will break almost any standard quality socket with ease.
