The NEC Projector VT695 is a LCD projector that packs punch for under $1,000. It boasts DVI, s-video connection, and two computer inputs. Included is a remote that has buttons for all of the inputs as well as controls for freeze, mute, and volume.
Response time is quick when you press the power button. In only a few seconds, you are ready to go after the lamp fires up. The display is bright and clear and the five-watt speaker system is quite sufficient for a large or small classroom environment.
The size, weight, design, ease-of-use, multi-computer inputs, LCD technology, and the brightness of display are the best features of this projector. We use these projectors at work to teach classes on and offsite. This projector has survived trips to other states and consistently performed well. There is also no learning curve when learning how to use this device. You simply plug the projector in, connect your devices, and your ready to deliver. We have had no technical issues, other than routine maintenance, with our projectors. The warranty is three years for limited with one year for the lamp.
The manufacturer has some really technical terms for the performance of this machine like lumens brightness, squareshot, and accublend. I have to admit that the only thing I remotely have an understanding of is lumens brightness. Rough translation, the brighter the lumens, the more forgiving the projector is in brightly lit situations. You will also be able to project is large room, which we do, without loosing quality if you choose a projector with a large amount of lumens. The NEC Projector has 2,500 lumens.
You also get a carrying case, RGB cable, lens cap, projector handle, power cable, user's manual, and quick start guide with the projector.
