Oster Osterizer Ten Speed Blender

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The Oster Osterizer ten-speed blender is a practical solution for users who need a reliable blender at a budget price.

With an MSRP of $19.99, it is at the low end of the spectrum when priced against competitors offering similar functionality. I purchased this blender to make fruit smoothies at home, and this remains its primary use. However, it has been able to adequately perform when faced with ingredients of numerous textures and consistencies. This is likely due to the inclusion of a powerful 450 watt motor, and ten different speed settings.

Three basic settings are combined with specialized options intended for tasks such as crushing ice or gently stirring the inner contents to achieve a smooth consistency. Normally, even when such settings are available, I prefer to stick to the basics. However, in regards to the capabilities of this blender, I often find myself quickly switching between the various options to achieve the best results.

The plastic container has a six-cup capacity and features a pour spout to allow users to easily transfer the contents for storage or consumption. The material it is constructed from is so durable that it can easily tolerate daily usage and accidental incidents such as dropping the container during use. However, it is prone to becoming loose during usage. Although personal experience proved that this problem was likely due to improper assembly, users should exercise caution and use one hand to ensure it remains secure at all times

The stainless steel blading system is removable which is a great help during the cleaning process. However, the container portion holds stains easily and may require special attention to tackle.

Although there are a few things that could be improved for the future, this remains a competent blender, perfect for an economical budget.
