Medium sized 3/8 inch drill with 23 speed/torque settings and a bubble level at the rear to help keep your vertical drilling (up or down) straight. It has a keyless chuck that makes changing bits a little quicker (plus no key to keep track of) and an electric brake to help stop the bit faster when you release the trigger. It is lighter and slimmer than most common drills of the same size (3/8") and the forward, and reverse switch is just above the trigger. This makes it convenient to reach without releasing your grip on the handle.
There is a clip at the base of the handle to carry an extra bit and the trigger has variable speed for better control.
The Nickel-cadmium battery keeps it running strong although it does add more weight, but the newer lithium batteries are interchangeable, lighter and stronger.
This drill is perfect for most light to moderate household and outdoor projects and the batteries charge in an hour so; you'll be working all day long.
It is a little pricey when compared to similar drills, but the reliability and quality of the product is well worth it; and, you get the Craftsman warranty.
