We purchased the Soleus Air space heater about two years ago. We needed this space heater to warm a large open bathroom with an area approximately 6 ft. x 6 ft. We only use the unit in the winter when it gets really cold. We bought this model because of the tall slender shape, as we felt that it would fit nicely in a corner on the counter. The unit cost only $29. We turn the unit on about 10 minutes before taking a shower and by the time we are out of the shower it has really increased the temperature to where it is comfortable. It has two easy to use knobs on the front. The top knob is for keeping the heating portion of the unit stationary or for having it swing or oscillate. The bottom button is for turning the unit off, having the fan blow, or having the heat come out on low or high. It has been dependable and very easy to use. The build quality seems both durable and made for performance. I like the safety of the unit as well. It shuts off if it gets knocked over and also shuts off if it gets too hot.
The only drawback of this model is that when it sucks in the air from the back of the unit, over time it collects dust and needs to be cleaned before it will work again. This isn't easy to do as the filter is screwed in. I have found that if I take a hair dryer to the back of it and let it blow on it at an angle, it loosens the lint and dust, although it is then in the air. This doesn't happen often, so it isn't a big deal to me although in the future I think that it would be a much better unit if the filter was easier to take off.
