Aquavista Panoramic Aquarium 1480P Black (20 Gallons)

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

AquaVista aquariums are ideally suited for offices and situations where the appearance of the aquarium is the most important factor. Their aquariums are virtually self sufficient, with a mini eco system within the tank that makes general maintenance a small part of having the tank.
The panoramic fish tanks hang on the wall like a TV screen might, and are thin and long. The model that I bought is 58.3 x 6 x 23.6 inches, making the depth the smallest measurement so that it doesn't stand too proud of the wall. A 20 gallon tank costs $995, and comes fully assembled and fitted by AquaVista themselves. This is just as well, because the combined weight of fish, water, tank and accessories weighs over 300 pounds, meaning that you have to choose your display wall carefully. I initially had to adapt my plans because the wall I had originally intended to hang the tank on wasn't strong enough material to safely support it.
Once the tank is hung on the wall, there's very little that you have to do other than add fish and water. An automatic feeder, climate control and water pump take care of maintenance such as cleaning the tank and feeding the fish, and a carbon dioxide generator keeps the live plants in great condition. Everything is controlled by an easy to use LCD control panel, which functions as the 'brain' of the tank.
Not only does the panoramic tank look phenomenal, I have owned it for six months and barely done more than press a few buttons. It takes the hassle out of having a large aquarium while guaranteeing that the fish and plant life are healthy, which is the perfect set up if you intend to have an aquarium in an office environment where fish care isn't always at the top of your list of priorities.
