The Canon model number HF-M31, Vixia High-Definition Camcorder with 2.7" LCD Touch Screen, available for as low as $644.90 is an incredible high-definition camcorder, with many top of the line features including Dynamic SuperRange optical image stabilization which stabilizes the image during ranges of motion, to present an impressively clear picture to the viewer, allowing for steady footage. The face detection technology of this high-definition Canon camcorder also helps make sure the images remain clear.
The 2.7" LCD touch-screen also provides a very clear image, yet it the touch-screen may prove difficult to get used to at first. The zooming qualities of this Canon model - 15x optical and 300x digital zooming work very well, as do the special effects, which include low light, spotlight, night scene, sunset, fireworks, snow, sports, cine, and portrait, which all prove to work impressively well, except, perhaps, the night mode, which doesn't always capture with the amount of clarity one would hope but is a minor flaw compared with the otherwise excellent special effects of this Canon camcorder.
The rechargeable battery included with this Canon Vixia camcorder works rather efficiently and can record for up to a dozen hours. Storing videos is also easy with the 32GB internal flash drive or digital memory cards, and it's easy to transfer images with the USB 2.0 interface, as well. The software that comes with the camcorder is Pixela ImageMixer 3SE, which allows you to edit and organize videos and photographs with ease. Overall, this Canon HF-M31 Vixia High-Definition Camcorder packs in a lot of easy to use features, shows clear videos and images, and is overall, an excellent camcorder to own, once you get used to the touch-screen, and provided you don't use the camcorder solely for capturing scenes during the night.
