When I first purchased my Sharp LC-LE700UN, I was fairly impressed with my new technology buy. It was amazing to see an LCD screen with an LED light for this price - most televisions that feature both of these exciting technologies are much more expensive. So, I was pretty pleased with my new television.
However, with a little use I found quite a few disadvantages with my new Sharp LC-LE700UN. I had initially placed my Sharp LC-LE700UN in a spot across from a window, as with my previous television I hadn't had any issues with light reflecting on the screen and taking away from my view of the television. However, with my new Sharp LC-LE700UN I quickly discovered that the television does not react well at all to light reflecting on the screen, and the glossiness of the screen actually took away from my viewing experience. I was pretty disappointed in this, as the high gloss finish of the screen initially attracted me to the television, and I had loved the way it looked and how it helped it to make stylish and aesthetically pleasing. So you can imagine my disappointment when the television was reflecting light poorly and obstructed my view of what I was watching. This actually resulted in my rearranging my living room in a much more inconvenient setting that didn't work for me nearly as much as my previous set-up. I was also slightly annoyed by the grayscale on the television, and thought this was fairly poor. However, the audio of the television was great, and other than the light issue the quality of the video and visual was pretty decent. I am a little bit disappointed with my television, but it does manage to get the job done for me.
