2010 Cadillac Escalade EXT

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

It's a luxury SUV and a truck all rolled into one beautiful looking vehicle. I purchased my 2010 EXT and have been proudly driving myself and my family and friends around in it for the past few months. The one thing I enjoy about this luxury vehicle is its versatility. There is really no vehicle like it on the market right now other than the Chevy Avalanche. The crew cab pick-up has come in handy when hauling around furniture and packing around other various things that do not fit in a car or SUV.

Even though this vehicle is a crew cab truck, the interior screams Cadillac luxury. The model I purchased is black on the exterior with a cream colored interior. The leather interior is soft and supple making it just as comfortable as any car I have owned. The bucket seats are very comfortable which has been a nice feature for my long commute and family vacations. The wood grain gives it a very luxurious look, which one would expect from a Cadillac. The Bose stereo system gives off a rich, full sound that makes me feel like I am enjoying a concert while driving down the road. The gages and buttons are fairly intuitive and the navigation is easy to use.

I live in a wintery section of the country and the all wheel drive has come in handy in the snow. The drive is pretty smooth despite being a truck. The steering is very fluid and can be rotated from left to right with just a fingertip. The braking and the truck's reaction is fairly nimble when driving in the city, but if you're expecting to weave in and out of traffic it's not going to happen. The engine has over 300 horsepower but the acceleration seemed to be lacking. I have pulled large loads, including a boat with ease.

The only negative about the truck is the poor gas mileage. My EXT averages around 12 miles per gallon in the city and 15 on the highway. It does cost quite a bit to fill up, but I expected that before I bought it.

Overall I recommend the Cadillac EXT to anyone who is looking for a unique luxury SUV/Truck. There really is no equal to the EXT's looks, features, luxury, and performance. The detachable mid-gate and perfect-fitting truck bed cover are icing on the cake for this beautiful yet powerful vehicle.
