The Frame Wizard digital photo frame is 15 inches, which is a good size for a photo frame and always catches people's eye when they walk into the room. It has 1024 by 768 pixel resolution on an LCD screen and picture quality is very good.
The Frame Wizard claims that its selling point is the various digital effects that you can add to your images, such as animating parts of people's faces, or adding simple foreground effects such as falling leaves, balloons or rain. There's also a facility to add picture borders to images. Unfortunately, these effects are fairly simple and unrealistic, and while suitable for children who want to play with and animate photos, they're unsuited for such an expensive gadget.
The Frame Wizard scores very highly in terms of compatibility, as it has a USB port to connect to your computer and the software is very simple to set up and use. It also accepts a wide variety of memory cards, including those that are most often used in digital cameras, to completely cut out the computer from the process of displaying photos.
For $299.99, there should be much more than 2GB of memory in the Frame Wizard, although the 15 inches of screen size almost makes up for it. The frame is painted black, with the grooves of a traditional picture frame. I've seen more attractive digital photo frames, but admittedly most of them don't have the same picture quality or screen size as the Frame Wizard.
To conclude, the 15 inch Frame Wizard is slightly overpriced, but has as much compatibility as you could want and is easy to use. It's possible to play videos and mp3s as well as view photos, and if you have children, they're sure to be amused by the fun image settings.
