Sharp 11,500 BTU Portable Air Conditioner CVP12LX

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

We all know that Sharp is a long trusted company that makes good products for your home and office, and the Sharp Portable Air Conditioner is not going to let your expectations down. It has a nice design that fits in to almost any modern decor, and with 11,500 btu's it has a bit of cooling power as well. Among its many features are a Plasmacluster ion generator, a easy to read LCD display and a remote control that puts the power in your hand anywhere in the room. Just be careful where you put that remote. Probably the only detriment to this appliance is that the features of this air conditioner are only useable through the remote.

This Sharp Air Conditioner also serves as a dehumidifier, removing up to 65 pints of moisture from the air per day. It has hassle-free self evaporating, so there is no need do worry about the collected water. It goes out the exhaust hose.

Probably the most celebrated feature of the Sharp Portable Air Conditioner is how quietly it runs. This cooling wizard would not upset a librarian. This makes it great for in your bedroom at night. Keeping you cool without keeping you awake. Since it is portable, it goes where you need it to go. This makes it a perfect solution for occasional small area use. Cool the bedroom then cool down the den.

A possible turn off is that this unit has an Energy Star efficiency rating of 8.5, making it a little less efficient that other portable air conditioner options. It is also a bit more pricey at $549.95 MSRP.
