Black & Decker 12 cup Programmable Coffee Maker

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

There is nothing like waking up each morning to the smell of a fresh pot of coffee brewing. Dedicated coffee drinkers know how important it is to have a coffee maker that performs, performs well, and is reliable. Being an avid coffee drinker I needed a coffee maker like the Black & Decker 12 cup programmable coffee maker.
My Black & Decker coffee maker is wonderful and can brew up to 12 cups of coffee. I love how easy it was to program the digital clock this comes in handy when power surges happen and the need to re-program the coffee maker is needed and my husband is not around to do so. The bright green digital face makes it easy to read what time it is, in fact digital clock on my coffee maker is the only source of time I use in my kitchen.
The Black & Decker coffee maker is easy to use however, one issue I have had several times while using my coffee maker is coffee grinds leaking into the coffee and ruining a whole pot. After this happened several times, I finally realized that if the filter holder is not put in correctly it can cause the lid not to shut properly. This resulted in the water rushing into the filter, which caused the sides of the filter to crumble down and the grinds to rise up and out of the filter. Once I realized what the issue was and fixed it, I have had nothing but great tasting coffee.
There are many great features to my Black & Decker coffee maker, such as the auto turn off feature. I love the fact that when life gets busy my coffee maker is able to turn itself off when I forget to do so. With a two year warranty attached to this product I would have to give the Black & Decker Coffee Maker a 4 out of 5 star rating.
