GE Front Loading Washing Machine GFWN1000LWW

Rating: 4 out of 5

The GE Front Loading Washing Machine, model nmber GFWN1000LWW is an energy efficient, budget-friendly option for homeowners. I purchased this washing machine in 2009, a couple of years after moving into my home. The retail price is $669.00. The machine is a high efficiency model with a convenient front-loading style. It has a variety of washing cycles including regular, heavy duty, permanent press, delicates, quickwash, rinse only, spin, soak, handwash and active wear. There are also three spin cycles: high, low and no spin. There is a Timed Flow-Thru alarm that alerts users to the end of the wash and spin cycles, a great feature for users like me who occasionally use liquid fabric softener. There is also an end of wash alert. The machine also features a delayed start option which is convenient if you want to start a load of laundry after you go to bed or leave for work. The machine also comes equipped with LED cycle status lights, a child lock, a digital cycle countdown and is Energy Star qualified.

I like this washer because it is energy efficient and uses less water than other machines I have owned. It has a high spin option, which allows clothing to dry faster once it is moved to the dryer. There is also no agitator which makes it possible to wash comforters, bedsheets and other items that usually tangle around the center column. The capacity of the washer is fairly large, making it possible to wash several sets of towels or bedding at the same time. I also like the fact that you can set wash for loads with heavy or light soil, as well as for a variety of different fabrics. This helps extend the life of clothing and it cuts down on energy used for lighter, less-soiled loads. I would recommend this washing machine to homeowners looking for a budget-friendly option that is capable of getting household laundry done efficiently.
