I don't use a microwave for cooking except for vegetables; I mainly use it for heating up leftovers. I have a galley kitchen and counter space is at a premium so I needed something small yet powerful. When I looked at the Sharp R-216 it had everything I needed at a decent price. Best Buys had it for around $90.
It fits in the space between my sink and refrigerator. It is a perfect location for a microwave in my kitchen. The automatic carousel saves me the trouble of having to turn the food around every 30 seconds. Both the inside and outside of the microwave clean up easily with dish soap and water.
It heats evenly depending on the food. If it's a dense food like meat and rice you will have to stir the dish up a couple of times for the hot spots to be dispersed. If the food is a little lighter like spaghetti one quick stir is all it will need. The defrost setting doesn't practically cook you food like some other microwave ovens I have had. It softens even the most frozen of foods.
I have no complaints about this product. I really couldn't believe the sales guy offered me a service contract for $75 when the oven itself was only $90.
