Cuisinart Power Advantage Seven Speed Hand Mixer
Rating: 4 out of 5
I recently purchased the Cuisinart Power Advantage 7 Speed hand mixer for $49.95 online and have been very satisfied with my purchase. Cuisinart has a good reputation, which is one of the reasons I selected the hand mixer in this brand. The machine is powerful, although not as powerful as my stand-up mixer, but powerful enough to do the job. I was looking for something to knead dough and this machine is strong enough to take on the job.
For the most part, I use this machine to take on lighter tasks such as my everyday mixing when baking or preparing meals. For the heavier stuff, I still go back to my stand up mixer. There are seven speeds to this machine that range from a very low speed to eliminate splattering as you add ingredients to a high speed used for whipping. The speeds are digital which is a nice feature. Because the control panel is digital the clean-up is neater and easier. Controls can just be wiped off. The mixer not only comes with a whisk attachment but also a spatula which is another nice selling point.
I like the mixer because of its performance but also because of the noise level it makes. The machine is quiet and can be used even when my child is napping in the adjacent room. The only drawbacks I have found so far with this mixer is that it is only available in white and I would have preferred stainless or a color that matched my stand-up mixer. Also, there are not any dough hook attachments that come with this model and I would have liked to have them with this machine for kneading dough. The machine is not as powerful as my stand-up Kitchenaid but for the price is a great machine.
