Bernina B3330 Sewing Machine

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

I purchased the Bernina B3330 sewing machine brand new when it first came on the market in 2010. It features an LCD display, an LED sewing light and an automatic button holder. There are forty decorative stitch functions and it has the ability to embroider the alphabet. There is also a semi-automatic needle threader, making one of the most frustrating aspects of machine sewing much easier. The machine has a powerful motor which is capable of sewing 900 stitches per minute. While this may overwhelm a novice sewer, it makes sewing jobs for experienced sewers much more efficient. The machine runs very quietly and I am able to listen to music while working without having to increase the music volume. I am able to stitch to the edge of fabric without damaging the machine or tearing the materials.

There are a number of optional features that users have access to that make sewing much easier. These include specialty presser feet and an extension sewing table. Bernina has a reputation for making relaible, well-functioning machines and so far, I am happy with mine. It is easy to use and causes far less frustration than my older machines. If I could improve something about the sewing maching, I would lower the cost. It was well worth it, but it is one of the pricier machines at more than $800. It does not have an automatic thread cutting function and users are unable to adjust the size of the embroidery stitching and the decorative stitches.
