Maytag Gemini Series White 30'' Freestanding Range MER6765BAW

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The Maytag name has been a staple in home appliances for many years. This amazingly priced oven in their Gemini Series is no exception to that history of quality. This freestanding electric range has 2 separate ovens. 5.52 cu. ft. total oven capacity. 1.22 Cu. Ft. self-cleaning upper oven & 4.3 Cu. Ft. self-cleaning lower oven with dual-controlled bake and broil elements. Working with the oven(s) is quite easy thanks to the Deluxe Precision Touch 750 Electronic oven controls. As with other glass top surfaces, you will want to get a good cleaner to go with this range.

This Maytag Electric Range has a plethora of great features including: Smoothtop Glass-Ceramic Cooking Surface, Dual-Choice Element, Nine Inch Insta-Heat Element, Two 6" Insta-Heat Elements, Floating Glass-Front Oven Doors With Super-Size Windows, Separate Upper And Lower Oven Displays, a Super Bright Digital Display, Delay Bake/Clean Setting, Sabbath Mode Option and Automatic Oven Light In Upper Oven.

Some consumers have had trouble with the "Sabbath" mode, which effectively shuts off the ovens and timers. For those not familiar with the concept it can be a bit overwhelming. Other complaints are that the burner area is too congested to use the middle burner and outer burners together and that the upper oven's heating element is too close to the shelf and may tend to burn foods.
