Hamilton Beach Programmable Thermal 10-cup Coffeemaker Model 49854

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The Programmable Thermal 10-cup Coffeemaker from Hamilton Beach is a nice basic coffeemaker with a pleasant design and functionality. It is highlighted by a stainless steel finish and has many of the features a coffee drinker requires in such an appliance. The 10 cup capacity carafe has a virtually drip free pour due to the one touch button design. Since it is also a thermal carafe, it will keep your coffee warm and yummy. It is programmable so you can wake up to the aroma of fresh brewed java and start your day. The pause and serve aspect is great when you climb out of bed and need that first fix of caffeine. It also has an automatic shut off for those of use who sometimes forget to hit that off switch. Adjustable temperature controls and the fact that it can brew Iced Coffee as well, make this Hamilton Beach Coffeemaker a great tool for great-tasting coffee.

The digital display is quite large and very easy on the eyes to read, and the whole machine is fairly easy to store due to a compact design. With that in mind, it can rust if you are not careful when cleaning the coffeemaker. Also, some people may find the smaller button controls awkward from its compact size. One other common complaint is that if the lid to the carafe is not on right the coffee will sometimes spill.
