Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

Everybody enjoys a good cup of coffee in the morning, and perhaps no one enjoys this more than me. The Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker is a gourmet coffee maker that is a bargain for its price of $109.95. About two-thirds of the price as many competing makers, it is also only about double the price of the more simple makers, and a budget buy for a product that will get a lot of use and enjoy a long shelf life.

The DDC-2000 is fully programmable and offers a 24 hour advanced brew start. This gives you the opportunity to plan your morning cup of coffee ahead of time, allowing you to start the pot 10 minutes before you wake up, and have the coffee ready by the time you roll out of bed and out of the shower.

The "Press to Serve" button on the maker allows you to dole out one cup of coffee without ever removing the put from the maker. The gauge counts are easy to read, and lets you know how many of the 12 original cups are left for you to enjoy. There is also an auto shut-off that can be programmed so that electricity is not wasted.

Just 14 by 9 inches, the coffeemaker does feature a standard removable reservoir with a water filter, and the body of the DCC-2000 features a sleek stainless steel design. The maker itself features a clock, offers a drip-tray for easy cleanup and has an elegant design that looks like a cappuccino maker that you might see at an Italian café.

Whether you like your coffee right when you wake up, appreciate the look of a fancy coffeemaker, or want to enjoy a fine cup of coffee with easy pouring and cleanup, the DDC-2000 is a bargain for the price.

Default Rating the Cuisinart Coffee Makers

I agree, I do like this coffee maker. It's very dependable.

Something that you forgot to mention is that this is one of the safest coffee makers available, too.

Cuisinart avoids any materials that contain BPA for use on any parts that directly come in contact with either water or coffee, so you can feel good about using it daily.

Thanks,
Betty Z
