Nike Golf SQ Machspeed Men's Black Round STR8-FIT Tour Driver
Rating: 5 out of 5
Nike has been a leader in all areas of sports equipment since the company's foundation. While leading in sports like basketball or baseball is no surprise, Nike has also evolved to become among the top sellers in golf as well. Represented by the best player in the world, Nike has received revenue from Tiger Woods and has been able to establish a brand of clubs equal to golf-only brands like Callaway and Taylor Made.
One of the top selling Nike drivers since 2009, the Nike Golf SQ Machspeed Men's Black Round STR8-FIT Tour Driver features the many capabilities and specifications that have been made popular in Tiger Woods' bag. The driver itself is used for quick swingers and long hitters off of the tee, and at around $412 for a MSRP, the club is comparable to the new R11 and the Callaway Razr Hawk.
It is available in right and left handed variations, and can be purchased with stiff, extra stiff, senior and regular shafts. The clubs versatility allows it to be a valuable buy, and it can adapt to the quicker swing speeds at any level of swing. From 9.5 degrees to 13 degrees, it can be lofted low for stingers, or can be increased up to 13 for 3 wood-type shots that will allow you to soar and land softly - especially when gunning for the green.
The aerodynamics of the club are optimized for a better speed on the downswing, and the club features an adjustable face that lets you switch from draw, to fade to neutral. The Machspeed also features a very rounded head, allowing for less surface area and an easier manageability and glide. For around $400, it is on the expensive side, but so are many of the same clubs from different manufacturers. These are made for skilled players, and should be purchased with seriousness.
