We bought this set a few years ago when our oldest two children were still toddlers, and they've enjoyed it a great deal. We still have it and it still gets daily use, as our youngest is now two.
The set is a little difficult to put together. I'm not particularly handy and I am on the small side, so I did expect the assembly to be a little bit of a chore for me. The main issue was that some of the holes for the bolts and screws didn't line up exactly. Once my husband got home and also enlisted the help of a neighbor, it was much simpler. You definitely need one or two people to hold the parts in place while another puts in the bolts and screws.
That being said, the set is very sturdy and durable once it's assembled. We even moved it in one piece when we bought our new home.
This is definitely a play set for toddlers. Once kids are over the age of three or so, it doesn't really provide enough variety for them. But, for kids between 1 and 3, it's terrific. Kids that age can swing forever, and when they're bored with that they can slide down the slide or play fort in the castle.
The set is great, too, for those with limited outdoor space. It's very compact for what it offers. We had it on a fenced patio in our previous home, and it fit very nicely.
The design of this play set is very nice, with colorful parts and a whimsical theme to it. They definitely put some thought into the aesthetics, unlike some play sets that can be rather plain and functional. The construction and design are also very safe for little ones. We never had issues with rough surfaces or sharp edges that might cause injury to the kids, and the swings and slide are both very well made. This is an excellent value.
