2005 Nissan Titan LE

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The 2005 Nissan Titan is the first imported brand truck to offer similar capabilities to the trucks offered by Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet. The high end LE trim truck is priced at $35,400 which is comparable with other similar trucks.
This truck is available in two different styles, the King Cab and the Crew Cab. The Crew Cab is a typical four door set up. The King Cab has doors in the rear that open in the opposite direction of the doors in the front. In order to use the same frame in either configuration, the two different styles have different bed lengths. The King Cab has a bed that is 6 feet 6 inches in length while the Crew Cab's bed is 5 feet 6 inches.
Nissan only offers one engine and one transmission for the Titan line of trucks. The engine is a V8 rated at 305 horsepower. The 5 speed transmission is an automatic. All of the Titan trucks are available with the two wheel drive or four wheel drive drive train. Each truck comes with an Anti Lock Braking System.
In addition to standard seat belts and air bags for the front passengers, torso airbags from the side are an option for the front row and curtain side airbags can be purchased for the rear seating.
On the Crew Cab version the rear window can be lowered via automatic controls. A defroster also keeps the rear window free from moisture.
Titan is best in its truck class across several key areas. The following areas were tested by independent manufacturer reviews and found the Titan to be number one in each category.
- Interior headroom
- Torque output
- Ground clearance for 4WD trucks
- Volume of interior for Crew Cab trucks
- Highest ground clearance among 4WD trucks
