I purchased the Kenmore Canister Vacuum Cleaner, model number 116.25513 in 2007. The vacuum works well, but because it is a canister style, it is cumbersome, especially in a multi-leveled home. It features a lever that adjusts the height control which offers four settings. There is a tilt handle, which makes storing the vacuum easier when not in use. It came equipped with an accessory pack that included brush and furniture cleaning power head adapters. We use it primarily for cleaning carpets with low-pile, as well as the upholstery. With two cats, we need a powerful vacuum and this one works well. It also has light fixtures, which makes it easy to vacuum in closets and under beds. The vacuum has a retractable cord, so there is no need to wind the cord around the handle and there is no worry about it getting tangled.
The vacuum has a large capacity bag which is great because replacing bags frequently can get expensive. The canister hood is flimsy, which is a problem because the attachments are kept in this part of the vacuum. It gets more wear and tear than a normal hood might. Aside from this, the vacuum works well, is easily maneuverable when vacuuming and it is easy to store.
