why do so many of us, feel empty? what missing ? (introvert, boyfriend)

A spiritual connection with higher power/energy is what brings in all sorts of positive emotions into one's life. That dependable stream of well-being, which doesn't depend on any outside circumstances or people, is the ANSWER.
what it also is, is the rise of social networks and media telling u to feel this way or that, that you need to be married, dating... people now then ever juts compare themselves and feel like crap
I think too many people expect too much out of life and want things to come easy. When and if they get over that mentality is when life gets better, imho. Everything takes work and not many things come easy.
people are committing suicuide in record number, murder-suicuide are also up. family are being destroy from within - the son is killing the mother, the father shoot the family dead, the mother stab kids, the mother drown 3 children to have an affair, etc. all news article
depression is up, we can't read, can't write , we can't think what is going on
1 in 25 graduate college. and that in 7 years. 60 % drop out of hs.
people are just walking into traffic looking down at cell phone

The BIGGEST thing that makes people feel empty is not having someone around them or to talk to (and I am referring to a girlfriend if you're a guy/boyfriend if you're a girl) and or not getting what you want such as that friend you have but are scared to death to ask her out or let her know how you feel.

these media outlet are destroying us. we cant socialize or speak.
we a building a whole sociaty of hermits, introverts and anti -social people
20-30 years + ago people were forced to go outside and hang out with each other becuase there were no video games, computers, good cable tv.. now that there is.. it doesnt force us to socialize with others except possible through an electronic device.. we have become more removed from each other
Whats missing for me is a meaningful career, a woman to spend my life with, and self confidence in general. Very dissatisfied with my life. Hoping it changes soon.
