"The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry."
Ernest Hemingway

I was the one who posted it. Here's another gem from Gunter Sachs who ended his life last year just as Ernest Hemingway did.

"The loss of mental control over my life was an undignified condition, which I decided to counter decisively."

Brilliant prose, written in his suicide note. As the Samurai warriors used to say, make it a good death. Some have argued the greatest power a man can have over another is using his mind to control others peoples thoughts, opinions & behaviors without having to physically be present. I have long believed that some have been tricked into death/suicide through either psychic warfare or mind control.

The only character I know of who is so smart that mind control could not work on him was Victor Von Doom, aka. Doctor Doom. His partner in crime is Doctor Death who receives all the suicides upon death. Sometimes Doctor Death has brought suicides back to life to scare even death himself. There been many stories of dead people brought back to life. That is also why they say maybe the dead may care. There is a new comic book character named Pandora (DC Comics) that is hooded like Doctor Doom. Some speculate she may have been trained by Doctor Doom.
