It seems like every Meyers Briggs "expert" has always described Dylan as an INFJ personality type. But I don't think that's right. I think that some people just assume anyone who writes for a living has to be an NF. But I think maybe they are trying to base it on an analysis of his work. I don't think you can always do that, especially with poets.
Anyway, my impression from observing him in old clips, and reading about his early career, is that he was an ISFP. And that is why he often perplexed people. They didn't realize he was just a very down to earth person.

INFJ's are often associated with wanting to "change the world". And by the time he was 22 years old, Dylan had already rejected political activism, he said because of a growing realization and sense of despair that his songs couldn't change the world (at least not in the way he wanted)!
