People laugh about "death" -one of the saddest things that can happen...and I know by personal experience,,, lighten up! -- We can't stay depressed and angry about the bad parts of life, they happen, to everyone of us one way or another- and NOBODY is laughing about anyone's misfortune,,, at all!! - This thread has gone viral because of the attitudes of people,,, and the ridiculous assumptions of other's culpalability - You worried bout crazy carts- be proactive an park far out... away from the other shoppers, or always an option !

Or live on takeout. That's another option.

I never have a problem with shopping carts myself. I seldom have a need for them. I do have a solution for getting out of ever needing a shopping cart again. This solution only works if you are married though or have a SO that loves to shop. Now it may take a few visits to the store but everytime that you go mess up on the order. That is right, get differant but similar things or forget to get some things. Now don't make it too noticable or your SO will catch on. Still over time you will find that you will never have to worry about shopping carts ever again. A side benefit is that you can stay home and watch your favorite football team play while your SO woories about the carts.

personally I'd much rather have the shopping carts spread out throughout the parking lot, it's when they congregate together that trouble starts and I will go out of my way to avoid having to walk by a bunch of them milling about all nestled into each other, that's really creepy and should be discouraged.

I park close to the corral if I can and return the cart to it. I live close by a supermarket and in my area there are always a few carts per week on the greenbelt, or at the corner on the grass area. Why can't they just return the cart to the store later on after they have put away their items or keep it in their garage or patio area, as they shop there regularly anyway.

It against the law-- if they keep at home could- get arrested-- me I'd have a HUGE sale on those folding shopping carts- I own one and have for a long time... crap- those groceries get heavy- and I don't own a garage,,, maybe that keep the grocery carts from leaving the area...
