Just to lighten it up a little: I can't read these posts without remembering a Dilbert cartoon in which Alice is relating a dream to a totally disinterested audience: "But in my dream, it was no ordinary pickle. It was a gherkin!"

This is a dream I had only once, but I want to tell you about it.

I dreamt that I was driving a car on a road like the Big Sur highway, and I lost control and my car plunged over the cliff. As I was plunging down toward the ocean, I dreamt that I was saying to myself "So this is what it is like to die", but I woke up before I hit. And it wasn't frightening at all, neither in the dream nor when I woke up. Ever since, I have felt that when the time comes, I will be able to just say "so this is what it's like to die".

I constantly dream that I light a long fuse and am filled with regret and chase after it to stomp it out but it remains just out of my stomping reach as I stomp and stomp to put it out always just missing it and then I look at my feat and they're all dried up and there is a callous and I pick at the callous and moths then fly out of my dead foot! no not really, I usually dream of finding coins in the street but the moth story seems more creepy for tonight.

That is what it feels like. I think. I was in a real accident once where a semi sideswiped us and sent my car into a whirl across a wet highway and I looked up to see another semi bearing down on us--it barely missed us and I thought the same thing you did in your dream. I wondered if it would hurt but curiously I did not care at that point.
