You can’t make everyone happy – stop trying
This is especially true for anyone posting to online forums. I guess CD is quite tame (save for the Politics/Controversies forum) but these principles still apply.
While I don't go around purposely trying to offend or stir up people,
I put practically zero effort into worrying whether or not EVERYONE will respond positively to my posts. Some people will always try to disagree, argue vehemently, or even pick a fight with you no matter how innocuous your post was and this is something you have little/no control over.
