The NSA must be having a field day with all that!

Addiction to alcohol causes divorce for significantly more people, but the vast majority who drink in moderation do not stop doing so just because they get married. I would view porn use (or gambling, or pot smoking, or anything else that exists on a continuum from normal to addiction) similarly.

I know there was a plan to move all porn to its own newly created internet suffix. I don't think I've read anything about that in quite sometime -- did the idea die?

That doesn't make any sense, why would somebody who insecure about their "endowment" watch porn where the men tend to have enlarged parts.

Porn does adversely affect many relationships. Men end up divorcing due to an admitted addiction to porn that takes over their lives.
I wonder if men in a relationship would be as willing to watch porn that was designed for women. There's very little of that available online. Which is probably for the best, considering how addictive porn is.
The number one reason people get divorced is because of money, followed by infidelity. It has nothing to do with porn. Unless the guy is secret porn star .

I'll take a different approach to the question. Lots of men will look at porn and masterbate and it has absolutely nothing to do with how they feel about their mate. They can be in a relationship with the best looking, hottest, most sexually aggressive woman in the world, and occasionally it is simply more convenient to have sex with yourself. As for the porn, men are stimulated visually, so porn is a natural means to get that stimulation.

One reason is that it is quick, no foreplay needed, and no cuddling afterwards. You take care of your urges, have your climax, and go right back to what you were doing. It doesn't mean you don't love the woman you are with or are not turned on by her, it just means you wanted a quickie without any drawn out lovemaking. You only have to please yourself.

I suspect a lot of women do the same thing, and there is nothing wrong with that. I have been in relationships with women who would tell me that they used their "little friend" to get some relief, and it didn't bother me one way or the other. In fact , it was kind of a turn on, knowing she thought about sex and was open to masterbation as a means to an end.

Truth be known, I bet more people occasionally do this sort of thing than anyone will admit.

53% of the male population masterbates, the other 47% lie about it.

Webster's definition of masterbation:

"The act of making love to someone I REALLY care about. "

What kind of porn are you watching? Most of the women I see have some strange looking breasts due to implants with horrible scars. Some have some godawful tattoos too. Some are way too thin, to the point or anorexic looking. And never once, have I seen a man "force" them into positions and situations. As for what the average woman does....what DOES the average woman do? Missionary and that's it?

No, normal everyday sex may not be porn sex, but in that same breath, porn sex (well, the non-fetish ones) are for the most part normal. I haven't seen any crazy positions that I couldn't or haven't done (unless I'm not flexible enough).

Besides. There are a lot of men who really like amateur porn too....with real people, not "movie star" types, doing "normal" stuff. So, what about that?

There's a huge difference between "being happy" with the marriage and "being satisfied" with his wife as a lover. BIG BIG difference.

Did you read the part where I said "religious upbringing" stunts her? She didn't want to have sex before marriage and he agreed to it. Unfortunately, he didn't realize this would still be going on 10 years later. He's been sexually unhappy for 10+ years, I'd say that's enough love to stay. But it's also because he finds other outlets, like porn, in which to satisfy himself sexually, because she cannot and will not.
