No, I don't think there's anything like that behind it. Some people are just wired that way. In some cases, there might by body dysmorphic disorder behind it, as there is with some men. (Where the person looks in the mirror, and always sees flaws, or too much fat, and has to keep dieting and working out to an unreasonable degree of perfection.) But I certainly wouldn't generalize to all cases.

"Hot" is in the eye of the beholder.

So...whatever. Different strokes for different folks. Those women are lucky there are guys who like that type. It seems to be a fringe trend.

I can certainly understand why a woman would want to feel and look strong. Muscle tone on a woman is nice, provided the woman isn't too lean and skinny....the type of woman that would probably be chubby/fat if she didn't work out much.
