How To Understand An Introvert, In One Chart
I'll be honest. I completely expected this to be demeaning (introverts get treated poorly in our extroverted society). But it was actually accurate. And the sitting on the couch together scene was completely cute.

This is awesome! I actually printed out an article on introverts, that I thought explained it perfectly, so I could pass it out to friends/family, jokingly, sort of, whenever the subject came up, lol. I never did, but...

Anyway, this sums it up so much quicker than that article.

Lmao at this quote:

"Because this energy is a limited resource, they tend to see extroverts as obnoxious predators out to steal their sweet, sweet energy juices." (Somehow reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite, lol.) (And the guy in the hamster ball, hissing. Lol! )

One time I came home to our complex, and, to be honest, I was already a little exhausted from a long-term bad situation I was dealing with, but I went to a neighbor to thank her for a nice thing she had done for us. I was probably in her place for about 5 minutes. During that 5 minutes, after calming her dogs down from going ballistic, lol, we discussed her favor, her kitchen improvements, the steak she had sitting out thawing, a class she wanted me to attend with her, her dogs' health, and chatted with another neighbor whom her dogs ran at. There might have been more I'm forgetting, lol.

I left her place completely drained. In just 5 minutes. Lol. She's really nice and I like her. But she is a complete extrovert and I am a complete introvert. No doubt about it. I came home and collapsed.

Lol.

That is what enticed me to read the article, thinking "here we go", then being pleased it is a legitimate explanation.

WFW&P, I predict your thread drops quickly. All of the introverts are drained from the interaction of posting in here.

lol...

I've seen the article before few months ago. You can tell it was written by an introvert that was speaking from experience.

I read it like i was watching one of those life of an animal shows on Discovery.

Come and watch how the introvert interacts with other people. This one likes chairs! This one likes books! This one hisses! They're all different and an important part of the World around us!

Oh look, this one is pooping!

I loved the article, it summed me up succinctly. I've become far more introverted the older I get. In my 20s I was a lot more outgoing and needed people around me. I'm an RN and I get very burnt out by constant interactions with people so on my days off I never socialise. I can spend days just staying at home with no contact with the outside world. Even having my husband around irritates me at times.
