I've been reflecting on the maturity one acquires between 18 and 30. After 18, one is usually regarded as an "adult" even though the person might still feel like a teenager deep down inside. You actual age doesn't always coincide with the way you feel inside.
Then you get some sort of reality slap and suddenly you start viewing yourself as an actual grown up.
I recently turned 24 and I feel as though I'm slowly regarding myself as a "woman" and no longer a "girl". I'm sure this wording has no incidence whatsoever it does have a major impact internally.
What kind of event made realize you actually became a "woman"/"man"? How old were you?
My first epiphany came at about age 30 when I realized I was not a "kid" anymore. I was becoming an adult. My next was at about age 50 when I realized I was a grown adult. At age 70 I am beginning to realize I am getting old but the alternative sucks......LOL

Kinda depends on the situation. Like the otherwise 'macho' man who's obviously acts "whipped" whenever around his wife. Or the grown men and women with no shortage of 'maturity', but who still unconsciously slip into their childhood 'role' when dealing with their parents or siblings.

Thank you
I don't think I've ever had such an event. I have never thought about this, personally.
