There are a lot of really terrible people out there, and life experiences has led to many once kind and open-minded joyfuls to become mysanthropists.
Working in corporate offices has definitely done that to me. It has made me not trust anyone and to halfway expect rudeness or two-faced behavior from others.

Move at least 50 miles away from the nearest town to a small cabin in the woods with your dog and spend the rest of your days growing enough food for yourself and the dog. Then you won't have negative thoughts about people anymore since you won't deal with them.

You nailed it with the "corporate offices" thing. I've been in the same profession for over 20 years. In that time it has gone thru a total transformation. What started out not much different than being in a shop has turned into corporate cube farm life and along with it the idiocracy of corporate life. I used to love my job when it was more of a shop atmosphere. Now I absolutely hate it and it has driven me to be more of a misanthrope. I just can't grasp the concept of not being rated on how well you perform your job but how much of a cheerleader you are...sorry for the rant. It is just mind boggling...
