Wrong.

Organs do not define gender. Gender is in the mind. He is attracted to a female.

If he was attracted to a transgender male then he might be gay or bi.

If being attracted to a tranny is "gay" then how come gay man are rarely attracted to transwomen (myself included)? They look too womanly for us. Heck, for me, being attracted trannies would be a rather "straight" thing.

In my book, a (straight) man is only gay or bi if he fools around with another cisgender man. Those who are into trannies are bicurious at most or just those possessing weird fetishes.
I have seen some hot looking Trans and would consider, but sure can't stomach doing it with a man -no way Jose! A Trans with female features, voice etc sounds damn close to me! I believe the comments above holds more truth to the matter.

My ex boyfriend was very much straight. And I would get mad if people insinuated otherwise. It's just that some people are able to see transwomen as women, not men. I have also dated lesbians who would not be seen dead dating a man.

And as far as offence words, you guys are known to have very thick skin, don't get pissed on just a word Many trans-folks still use it themselves for its shortness.
Not of us. black people might use the N word amongs themselves but that doesn't mean a white person can do it. Same thing.

They are, but that isn't the point. You must look outside the picture a bit.

Would you sleep with a woman if she dresses up as a man? I mean, she still has the "parts", right? I think the obvious answer would be no. You would be visually turned off, which is understandable.

Despite being biologically men, transsexuals do NOT look like men (besides the dick). Gay men and women don't even find them attractive for that reason, and thus (some) straight men would "naturally" be into them because, well, they somehow resemble women. Is that gay? No, since a man is still appreciating the feminine form of them. Bicurious? Yes, perhaps.

Now what is "gay"? How about a man finding another (non-transgendered) "normal" looking man attractive, for starters? I'm with you on that one.

Oh, nobody is forcing you to sleep with transwoman. So don't take my post that way.

I think it's intent that matters, not word. In 50s you'd be damned for saying black people and not world-wide accepted name of their race

True. I mean I'm not overly sensitive, but I will politely correct people. It's not a word I would encourage anyone to use as it may offend some people. When someone says "tranny" to me I say "I'm not a gearbox".

Anyway, if you're so hung up about being seen as gay or whatever and care what people think, don't date a transgender woman. For me, I'm gay whoever I date in the eyes of different people. I have been called both the f word and a dyke for dating a cis woman. I don't care what people who don't pay my bills think of me or who I date.

sometimes you've just gotta laugh at people's ignorance rather than try to reason with it.
