But if there's narcissism in your diagnosis, you'll probably FEEL better periodically... but that will be mixed with depression and perhaps lowering self-esteem.

See, what you'll be doing is basically traumatizing yourself even more and self-soothing with increased sexual addiction.

On the other hand, you may find community and it may give you a short term sense of purpose.
Short term because it's there's no long term stability. Drugs and alcohol go along with prostitution which will only destabilize you more.

Here's the ... "trick"...
What do you REALLY want to do with your life?

If there were funds for you to study anything to eventually have any career or business, what would your Number ONE choice be? Honestly. (To brainstorm, you could think of three.)

You keep mentioning your mental instability .... almost like a crutch... but you've said nothing about your academic level, or aptitude. The ONLY way I'd recommend prostitution or porn is if you're Special Ed.

Everybody is crazy once you get to know them.
Being Trans doesn't mean anything as far as your ability to learn.
You're as capable as anyone else... and creatively, you're probably MORE sensitive than most.
  1. Mental instability can be balanced with Yoga. (You could get a low-cost or free membership at the YMCA and the Yoga classes would be free with your membership. There's often a steam room or sauna that calms the nerves. What you need to do is rebuild your central nervous system. Being Trans and having an unsupportive family is traumatizing alone. Now you want to expose yourself to MORE trauma? Rape and violence is very common in prostitution.)
  2. Trauma Writing. It's proven that the pills they shove at Veterans for Post-Traumatic Delayed Stress Syndrome don't work. Shock! (YouTube some Dr. Gabor Mate videos.) But writing out your trauma does. Trauma writing involves telling your story from many various perspectives. People get stuck in trauma because they tell themselves ONE story over and over. One example is Vietnam Veteran Tim O'Brien's, "The Things They Carried." He wrote a novel about a fake firefight told from the eyes of everyone in his platoon. This forced him to see it from various perspectives ... which brought wisdom where there once was only pain.
  3. Meditation. Buddhist meditation can work wonders. There is no better teacher than going inside yourself. Find a ***** songha near you. "When the inner is in balance, the outer comes into balance."
  4. CAREER. Why you need a job? Work for yourself! Technology frees us all from 9-to-5 slave wage jobs. I strongly suggest you begin researching eBooks on YouTube. Also Amazon's, "CreateSpace." There's never been an easier way to publish ... and you can create residual income that brings in nickles while you sleep. There's many other, "Work From Home" jobs too.
  5. Use your struggles to set you free. This is a great time to be Trans. The future looks good. We're currently living in a mini-dark ages ... so a "Renaissance" of art and ideas is coming. Spiritually, we're seeing the dogma of the rigid, narrow-minded big three religions crumble because they're teaching it LITERALLY and not symbolically and explaining the metaphors as it is intended. "Pass the Plate" theology desperately needs to expand it's consciousness in ways that helps people make sense of their world in 2015 and not the 2nd Century. (i.e. the angels are two-sex and so is God. WHAT does THAT mean??)
  6. You sound like you could benefit from a greater knowledge of self. (Well, almost everyone can.) Research the long history of Greek, Roman, Chinese, Japanese, archytypes on Hermaphrodites. It's mind blowing. It's a part of the human psyche. Plus, learn what deep Jungians like Erich Nenmann wrote about in his book, "Art and the Creative Unconscious." All food for the creative mill. Where would the West be without Leonardo da Vinchi and Michaelangelo?

You sound like you're in a tailspin right now.
What state do you live in? You may want to move to someplace like L.A. or San Francisco ... or do the research and find out what are the most supportive areas for Trans people.

If you go into something like Nursing, your genetic structure can be a benefit ... IF you do the work to balance yourself. The prize is in the journey --- not the destination.

How old are you? If you're young, all you need is knowledge ... and perhaps some good mentors.
Get off the couch. Get out of your comfort zone. The best key to depression (and Mood Disorders) is to move a muscle. EXERCISE.

There are tons of careers that don't require people contact... but they do require education. You won't know how smart you are until you seek to challenge yourself. Junior colleges even have special help if you need it. And since you're most likely on Social Security (... GET on it if you aren't...), then Vocational Rehab is available to you.

You could go into Social Work or Counseling and help others instead of destroying yourself. You're as "Divine" as any other human being on the planet. You just need to find out why... and that will contradict the ingorant brutality you've gone through. The BEST clinicians and therapist have been wounded. It's the "Path of the Wounded Healer." It may or may not surprise you to learn that there's quite a few therapist who decompensate and need to enter locked wards periodically.

Once you finish your education, the state and the Feds will help you find a job.
You may not have finished high school due to all the bullying and homophobia current these days. Go to a Jr. College and finish it. Have you noticed the media lately? Being Trans is becoming increasingly cool. Be on the cutting edge of making it so.

Or you could simply become an artist .. or take a 2 year degree in business and open your own coffee shop or something. It's always better to go towards the light than to choose to remain in the darkness.
What a completely ignorant response. They DO NOT HAVE SOCIAL SECURITY IN THE U.K. AS IT EXISTS IN THE UNITED STATES!

Perhaps you'd better served actually READING all of the OP AND their location before making ill informed statements like this.

You don't need to be a prostitute to earn some cash.

You don't even need to be stable.

Ever thought of starting a dog walking round? Pamphlet deliveries? Lawn mowing or window washing?

Personally, the thought of dealing with unusual and strange penises every day is enough for me to go

NOPE

let alone the bits of skin attached to them that you also have to be fake nice to>>customers

NOPE

You may well be too mentally unwell to BE a prostitute, IYKWIM...its fairly demanding, you cant just lie back and think of England these days, the market is far more demanding and to earn the good cash you have to be inventive and tireless.

NOPE.

My only issue w/ it is that it would be difficult for someone w/ no mental health issues to stay emotionally together doing that work, I would imagine, let alone someone who has emotional problems, but I have no moral issue w/ it. And, you have to be careful about STD's, HIV, Hep B. And, possible violence from crazies. People do the best they can. I can't see how anyone can judge someone for it.

Personally, I'll compare this to alcohol. It's an addictive substance that ruined lives of many. But it is sometimes praised as "useful" for some physiological effects it produces in human body. Yet, there are other, much less harmless substances, that will produce same result.
OP, I have NO doubt, with a little bit of will, there can always be found a different way for you to accomplish what you need to. Education is one of them. It may take much longer and be more challenging to accomplish but at the end, it is likely to be more "right" way.
Try thinking a bit past your immediate concerns. Look towards the very end and what we are all accounted for THEN. As one thing I know beyond any doubt. Decision done now, can not be undone later.

You don't find many older ladies deciding to go on the game.

Not because there aren't customers for MILFs - of course there are - but the older women are all too aware of the power balance in a sex workers life.

Bought and paid for.

I'd rather walk dogs.

What if OP doesn't want to? Prostitution is a booming business. And delivering pamphlets will not support OP. There's nothing morally wrong with prostitution, IMO. I don't understand why it isn't legal. I would be concerned about OP staying safe. It is a very dangerous profession. So if he/she is willing to undertake it despite these risks to safety, then by all means go for it.

She.

But yeah I couldn't care less about the dangers. I'll be exposed to those dangers anyway if I end up homeless. Walking dogs is not going to pay my bills

I'm 24, not 64. Not an "older lady". If I do this I do it now while I still can. When I'm older I'll probably want to be walking dogs for a living, or maybe I'll find some rich guy to take care of me
